Fitted Sports Solutions Limited ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Ireland under company number 824651, with registered office at Caraban, Ravensdale, Dundalk, Co. We are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Who this policy applies to

  • Business users — who subscribe to list their services on the platform.
  • Registered users — who create a free account to message businesses.
  • Visitors — who browse listings without an account.

3. The personal data we collect

Business users (subscribers)

  • Business name, contact name, email address, phone number, address.
  • The listing content you choose to publish.
  • Billing information — card and bank details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe/PayPal). We do not store your full payment card details.

Registered users (messaging)

  • Account details: name, email address.
  • The content of messages you send to businesses via the platform.

All visitors (collected automatically)

  • Usage data: IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, pages visited, and the date, time and duration of your visit — collected via cookies (see Section 7).

Social login (if enabled)

If you register via Google, Facebook, etc., we receive your name and email address from that provider.

4. How and why we use your data, and our legal basis

We use your personal data for the following purposes, each with its legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR:

  • Create and manage your account — using your account details. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Enable messaging between users and businesses — using your account details and message content. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Process subscriptions and payments (business users) — using your billing details. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Provide customer support — using your account and query details. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse — using usage data and account details. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Analytics and service improvement — using usage data. Legal basis: consent (via cookies).
  • Send marketing emails — using your email address. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — using the relevant records. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Who we share data with

  • Other platform users — only as inherent to the service. A business sees the messages and contact details a user sends it, and vice versa.
  • Service providers (processors) acting on our instructions — e.g. our marketplace host (Sharetribe), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal), email (Mailchimp), analytics ([Google Analytics / Matomo / Fathom]), and support tools ([Intercom / Zendesk]). Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
  • Authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
  • In a business transfer (merger or acquisition) — with prior notice to you.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of these safeguards from us.

7. Cookies

7.1 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to function, to remember your preferences, and to gather analytics.

7.2 Consent

Essential cookies are always active because the Service cannot function without them. All non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner, in line with the ePrivacy Regulations 2011 (SI 336/2011).

You have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to processing (including objecting to direct marketing); data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. 10. Children

The Service is not directed at children. In line with the Data Protection Act 2018, we do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 16 without parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
